Insurance

Your confidentiality is extremely important to me, therefore to protect your confidentiality and ensure that you have full control over your treatment, I am an out-of-network provider for insurance. I do not bill insurance companies directly, however I am happy to provide you with monthly receipts (i.e. super bills) that you may be able to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • APPOINTMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS: Appointments are 50, 80 or 90 minutes. Please remember to cancel or reschedule 24 hours in advance. You will be responsible for the entire fee if cancellation is less than 24 hours. Requests to change the standard session time needs to be discussed with the therapist in order for time to be scheduled in advance.
  • Cancellations will be subject to a full charge if NOT RECEIVED AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE. This is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you. If you are late for a session, you may lose some of that session time.   Additionally, if you are more than 20 minutes late for your session and you have not notified me, your session will be considered a no-show and the remainder of your session time will be forfeited and charged.
  • PEERS® program attendance: This is a 14 week program commitment for both parents and teens with set dates and times. In the event you, the parent/caregiver/social coach, or your teen is not able to attend a session, please notify us as soon as you can so that we can either provide a link for you to attend through telehealth or determine another alternative.

Good Faith estimate

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
  • Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
  • You can ask your healthcare provider and any other provider you choose for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
  • For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit cms.gov/nosurprises.

FAQ

Do you take insurance?

Your confidentiality is extremely important to me, therefore to protect your confidentiality and ensure that you have full control over your treatment, I am an out-of-network provider for insurance. I do not bill insurance companies directly, however I am happy to provide you with monthly receipts (i.e. super bills) that you may be able to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Please check with your insurance to confirm the following out-of-network benefits by asking these important questions:

  1. Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health?
  2. Do I have a deductible, and if so, what is it?
  3. What is my coinsurance/ what percentage of my bill will be covered after my deductible is met?
  4. How do I submit a superbill?
Do you offer sliding scale fees?

I offer a limited number of sliding scale openings but generally have a waitlist, therefore, please inquire during your initial consultation. In order to qualify, you will need to provide proof of income.

How do I schedule a consultation and/or ongoing appointments?
